In Astana (capital of Kazakhstan) building of the Central concert has just been finish, designed by architect Manfredi Nicoletti.
This is built basically in the middle of a desert, Manfredi Nicoletti has described this building as a flower, in a district that does not suffice flowers
Im hugely impressed by its grandure and pose. The sharp angles at the edges, followed by the smooth curves. Due to the nature of the area there are regular sand storms which are more like salt storms, which would severly damage a normal building like this, but the protective facade is designed to help as well as have protective materials used on it. Further more the temperature rarely drops below 40 degrees, making it even more thilling to see it work in the area
Besides a concert hall on 3,500 places, in a building shops, terraces, restaurants, the showrooms, two cinemas have settled down.
